Required Skills / Experience
1.      Experience with new customer 911 system builds, installations and support.
2.      Experience performing the installation; configuration; maintenance; repair; overhaul; troubleshooting; modification; construction and testing of various types of electrical; electronic; and/or mechanical equipment and related devices that comprise the Next Generation 911 architecture at individual PSAPs.
3.      Previous experience working in a public safety environment and/or familiarity with Next Generation 911 hardware/software/applications strongly preferred
4.      High School Diploma or equivalent
5.      5+ years in telephony
6.      Must be willing to travel up to 75%
 
Job Description
  • Conduct Site Surveys for initial project assessment, which includes cabinet drawings.
  • Build cabinets, as needed.
  • Perform the installation; configuration; maintenance; repair; overhaul; troubleshooting; modification; construction and testing of various types of electrical; electronic; and/or mechanical equipment and related devices that comprise the Next Generation 911 architecture at individual PSAPs.
  • Collaborates with assigned Project Manager to ensure installation is completed in accordance with the approved design; site deployment schedule and project budget
  • Performs as the site technical lead during the course of site installation; testing; cutover and post cutover support. Contributes to successful final acceptance of the PSAP.
  • Provides timely and accurate project status to the assigned Project Manager.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
