KEY REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

·         Forging partnerships with our client’s partner TechOps, client Equity Division and client Alliance partners to maximize our client’s revenues and benefits flowing to each partner
 
Summary
·         This is a position for employment with our client’s Material Services Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of a major Air Line
·         The Senior Vice President- Commercial will be responsible for developing and executing the global commercial strategy for our client and achieving annual targets for revenues, acquisitions and return on capital
·         Responsibilities of this position include forging partnerships with a major Air Lines TechOps and Alliance Partners to maximize the business and benefits with those partners
·         The scope of business includes the acquisition, sale or lease of aircraft, engines and parts, working through a diverse team of direct reports including VP Americas, EMEA and Asia. This position will be based in Atlanta and report directly to the EVP/Chief Commercial Officer
 
Essential Primary Functions
  • Development & execution of the global marketing strategy for commercial teams to support corporate objectives for revenues, profit and growth
  • Forging partnerships with our client’s partner TechOps, client Equity Division and client Alliance partners to maximize our client’s revenues and benefits flowing to each partner
  • Development of sales initiatives and product offerings based on a knowledge of competitor offerings and customer input, leveraging client’s partner TechOps where possible
  • Collaboration with the SVP - Acquisitions to ensure teams are leveraging account opportunities across the globe to meet acquisition targets
  • Mentoring the commercial team to develop skills and capabilities, driving client to be 'Best in Class' in our market segment
  • Defining and implementing creative solutions to optimize client’s partner inventory holdings
  • Building and refining lean processes and procedures for the commercial organization
  • Overseeing development of customer-focused presentations to ensure proper messaging and participating in presentations to build new accounts
  • Developing and presenting periodic commercial team reports focused on regional account performance, deviation from plan and corrective actions
  • Expansion of the use of Salesforce.com to manage leads, track results, communicate targets, status, and engagement plans to leadership and regional teams
  • Monitoring client’s Quality System and ensuring corrective action to resolve customer issues
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the EVP/CCO
 
 
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aviation industry
·         Minimum 5 years of experience managing sales team, product lines, sales support and/or account managers with a proven ability to develop talent and achieve results
·         Excel in communication, relationship management, strategy and negotiation
·         Strong business acumen including problem-solving, analytic skills and action plans
·         Strong presentation skills and proficient in use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
·         Must demonstrate organization values of integrity, respect for people, diversity appreciation, innovation, adherence to ethical standards, challenging the status quo, excellence in performance, commitment to shareholder value, teamwork and continuous improvement
·         Ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization
·         General technical understanding of aircraft and ability to conduct research and analysis

Essential Education
 
  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the aviation industry
