Summary
  • The decision making on funding, oversight and development of client’s Solutions Public Safety Projects at the local government level include a chain of public employees and influencers including but not limited to law enforcement, homeland security, elected officials at the state and local level, key staff/analysts in state and local budget offices, labor, and policy advisors on all levels
  • Our client’s Government, State & Local Affairs Solutions is seeking a team member to assist sales in taking government funded projects and transform and deliver the message into the appropriate language that key decision makers and influencers can understand and support
·         The team member will be in the field working hand in glove with the local sales
Essential Responsibilities
·         Will be responsible for identifying and cultivating the long term government strategic plan in the Mid-Atlantic Territory
·         Work side by side Account Executives, Area Sales Managers, TVP's and ultimately senior sales managers to formulate an effective government affairs plan
·         Hire, manage and train local government affairs consultants to understand the company's goals and objectives and act as liaisons for our client’s Government, State & Local Affairs Solutions group, to elected officials and agency heads
·         Maximize government affairs consultant investment by developing a work plan for government affairs consultants
·         Identify and cultivate relationships with elected officials in state and local markets that can champion our client’s Solutions Business objectives
·         Maintain those relationships and train the local teams on how to maintain those relationships post project
·         Initiate grass roots strategies to engage stake holders
·         Train and manage local teams on best practice initiatives in Government relations and elected official relationships
 
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with legislative and regulatory groups, lobbying, coalitions, testimony
  • Strong Organizational and motivational skills
