KEY “REQUIRED” EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aviation industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering required
  • Other engineering degrees (such as Structural or Chemical) will be considered
  • 5 plus years’ experience with day to day oversight of the technical records team to meet all records requirements to successfully complete the purchase, sale and/or leasing of aircraft, engines, components and meet the business objectives
  • 5 plus years’ experience in the development of contracts, purchase agreements, leases, and sale agreements to ensure that all documents properly identify client’s technical requirements in order to realize the maximum value of an acquisition or sale of an asset
·         Ensure compliance with client’s quality process and procedures to meet client’s Tech Ops and third party customer technical specifications for all documentation requirements
·         Familiarity with Tech Ops TOPP processes and FAA regulations, including FAR 121 and 145 as they pertain to aircraft, engine and component integration into the Delta system and third party customers
  • Prior aircraft engine or repair experience required
  • Experience in aircraft or propulsion engineering required
 
Summary
·         Responsible for directing the day to day activities of the Technical Services group ensuring technical records requirements are met for both acquisitions and sales while coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure a high level of commercial responsiveness and attention to detail in meeting technical commitments for purchase and sale of assets
·         Assist the VP of Technical to ensure achievement of client’s business goals and objectives
·         Day to day oversight of the technical records team to meet all records requirements to successfully complete the purchase, sale and/or leasing of aircraft, engines, components and meet the business objectives
·         Meet milestones and deadlines for the evaluation of assets for both purchase and sale including technical acceptance for a purchase or satisfying contractual requirements for records related a sale
·         Support the commercial team in development of contracts, purchase agreements, leases, and sale agreements to ensure that all documents properly identify client’s technical requirements in order to realize the maximum value of an acquisition or sale of an asset
·         Identify bottlenecks in the records process and with the support of VP Technical and IT apply continuous improvement methodologies in all areas of responsibility to improve efficiency and time required to complete sales and acquisitions
·         Ensure compliance with client’s quality process and procedures to meet client’s Tech Ops and third party customer technical specifications for all documentation requirements
·         Create, implement and execute processes and procedures identified by the client’s management team to meet goals and objectives
·         Produce reports for senior management that demonstrate the effectiveness of the technical organization in meeting quarterly and annual objectives
 
Essential Primary Functions
  • Development & execution of the global marketing strategy for commercial teams to support corporate objectives for revenues, profit and growth
  • Forging partnerships with our client’s partner TechOps, client Equity Division and client Alliance partners to maximize our client’s revenues and benefits flowing to each partner
  • Development of sales initiatives and product offerings based on a knowledge of competitor offerings and customer input, leveraging client’s partner TechOps where possible
  • Collaboration with the SVP - Acquisitions to ensure teams are leveraging account opportunities across the globe to meet acquisition targets
  • Mentoring the commercial team to develop skills and capabilities, driving client to be 'Best in Class' in our market segment
  • Defining and implementing creative solutions to optimize client’s partner inventory holdings
  • Building and refining lean processes and procedures for the commercial organization
  • Overseeing development of customer-focused presentations to ensure proper messaging and participating in presentations to build new accounts
  • Developing and presenting periodic commercial team reports focused on regional account performance, deviation from plan and corrective actions
  • Expansion of the use of Salesforce.com to manage leads, track results, communicate targets, status, and engagement plans to leadership and regional teams
  • Monitoring client’s Quality System and ensuring corrective action to resolve customer issues
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the EVP/CCO
 
 
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aviation industry
  • Prior aircraft engine or repair experience required

·         Full detailed understanding of regulatory and commercial records compliance requirements and industry standards for the purchase, lease and sale of aircraft, engines and components
·         Expert knowledge of work scope requirements for aircraft and engines in order to meet client’s technical and financial objectives
·         Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word software
·         Must possess a basic understanding of financial and cost analysis as it relates to aircraft and engine purchases, leases and sales
·         Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as multi-task abilities, strong analytical skills, organization skills, and time-management skills
·         Must be able to present complex material in a concise but comprehensive manner to decision makers
·         Must be a strong team player, detail oriented, and perform well under pressure. Ability to diagnose functional area strengths and weaknesses and develop recommendations for improvement is highly desired
·         Must convey a professional image with ability to lead, manage, and communicate to all levels of associates in a team environment
·         Must be able to effectively manage and deliver projects on time
·         Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently with very little supervision
·         Must be performing satisfactorily in your current position
