As part of our client’s (major Airline) Information Technology Enterprise Services, the Operational Data and Events team is responsible for the delivery and support of critical server-based real time backend systems to assure the fail-safe flow of data and content into client’s business applications.  They are responsible for sourcing and persisting data into Enterprise Operational Data Stores and for delivering events to application customers in almost all of client’s air lines business areas and around the globe.
Their team designs, builds, and supports Windows Server-based middleware applications and systems.  Real-time flight, passenger, crew and baggage data and events are provided to client’s air lines flight automation systems, management teams, and Operation Control Center 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  The applications we support are integrated to present a unified “Enterprise View” of real-time data from multiple disparate systems, both internal and external. 
They are looking for an experienced C# Senior Developer to play a big part in helping drive the change and strategy of their real time technology platform, whilst working with a variety of ever changing and interesting technologies.

·         Participate in both the development and maintenance of on-demand data and eventing systems
·         Collaborate with portfolio architects, IT partners across the organization as well as the business analysts to analyze requirements and produce quality software
·         Design and execute application and system test cases
·         Work on performance optimization and problem resolution
·         Ensure development practices follow industry and enterprise client’s IT standards
·         Conduct code reviews and provide feedback
·         Communicate status on project tasks and issues to manager on a regular basis both verbally and in writing
·         Participate in software deployments and troubleshooting in off-hours
·         A minimum of 5 years’ experience and demonstrated knowledge of C#, .NET framework, Windows Server Operating System, XML, XSD, XSLT
·         Experience building ‘always on & always available’, distributed, fault-tolerant backend systems.  The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Object Oriented Programming concepts and system development lifecycle. This experience will include modeling, designing, coding, unit, integration and regression testing, debugging and deployment.
·         Proficient in relational database management systems (RDMS - Oracle) and/ or SQL
·         Knowledge of TIBCO software products:  Enterprise Message Service (EMS), Business Works (BW), Rendezvous (RV)
·         Experience in distributed cache technology, such as Coherence, ScaleOut, Active Spaces or others
·         Experience running multiple concurrent tasks with high attention to detail
·         Ability to define, collect and report on metrics to present management a clear picture of the overall health of production and lower  level environments
·         Highly motivated, inquisitive, collaborative, creative, proactive, and good communicator are non-technical skills that will fit best in our environment
