Key Education/Skills:
1.      Must be a US Citizen. Undergraduate four-year degree in Information Technology, Engineering with concentration on Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field
2.      Responsible to find new, innovative ways to ensure secure development, delivery and operation
3.      Direct hand in developing and overseeing Cyber Security aspects of all phases of the Systems and Software Development Lifecycle
4.      Involved in driving Product Security Requirements, Implementation, and Plans in accordance with Industry, Government, and Internal Guidelines and Standards (NIST, CIS, ISO, DISA, ISO)
5.      Developing Internal Security Guidelines and Standards; and Performing Security Assessments for internal development as well as for Customer Certification and Accreditation (C&A) efforts
6.      Minimum 5 years of applicable experience within the CyberSecurity field. CISSP, CSSLP, CCSP, CEH, and/or CCSK preferred

The Security Solutions team oversees the Cyber Security Program for all Motorola Solutions products.  The ultimate goal of the organization is to define Cyber Security solutions that protect Motorola Solutions’ Customers, their Data and Operations, as well as, provide for differentiation of Motorola Solutions products and solutions in the area of Cyber Security.

As a team-member, in a lead or contributor role, you will be responsible to find new, innovative ways to ensure secure development, delivery and operation of Motorola Solutions products and solutions.  Working with Development Teams, Management, Service, and Field Teams you will be exposed to both Cloud and On-Premise architectures, across a variety of risk environments. You will have a direct hand in developing and overseeing Cyber Security aspects of all phases of the Systems and Software Development Lifecycle.  You will be involved in driving Product Security Requirements, Implementation, and Plans in accordance with Industry, Government, and Internal Guidelines and Standards (NIST, CIS, ISO, DISA, ISO); Developing Internal Security Guidelines and Standards; and Performing Security Assessments for internal development as well as for Customer Certification and Accreditation (C&A) efforts.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Drive or participate in CyberSecurity Programs across the Motorola Solutions product portfolio, encompassing Motorola Solutions proprietary products, as well as, integrated third-party products
  • Drive Vulnerability technical risk impact assessment, resolution, and management with the MSI product development teams
  • Support of system and subsystem Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) and Department of Defense Instruction 8500.2/DIACAP certification cycles including collection and analysis of results
  • Drive or participate in Platform Security for Cloud and On-Prem technologies, encompassing Cloud Provider Environments; Networking; Virtualization; Operating Systems; Container Technologies, and Application/Network Services. 
  • Seek, recommend, and propose solutions to avoid Vulnerability risks proactively
  • Develop, oversee, and drive CyberSecurity improvement features into Products
  • Drive audits and assessments of products to DIACAP, DISA, STIG, NIST, FDCC, USGCB and CJIS compliance benchmarks
  • Drive and Oversee Technical CyberSecurity Risk Mitigation
  • Lead and/or support the secure design and implementation of detailed system, subsystem and software test strategies, configurations and procedures
 
 
Basic Requirements :
 
Must be a US Citizen. Undergraduate four year degree in Information Technology, Engineering with concentration on Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of applicable experience within the CyberSecurity field. CISSP, CSSLP, CCSP, CEH, and/or CCSK preferred.  IT and/or Cyber Security background is required.  Knowledge Software Development and Engineering necessary.  Knowledge of DevSecOps a plus.
 
Technical skills:

  • Agile Development Processes knowledge
  • Software Development experience in the following languages/environments:  Java, C/C++, C#/.NET, PERL, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Unix Shells, JavaScript, HTML5, NodeJS
  • Failure Mode Engineering Analysis for Design and/or Security assessment
  • Computer Hardware and Software Architecture development experience
  • System Architecture and System Design expertise
  • Experience with computer auditing procedures
  • A working understanding of Networking protocols, Routing, Switching, & IT services
  • Operating System experience: Windows Servers and Workstation; Linux (RHEL/CentOS, Debian, CoreOS, Atomic); Android; and Embedded RTOSes
  • Virtualization technology experience: VMWare ESXi, vCenter, KVM, etc...
  • Container Technology experience:  Linux Containers, Docker, Kubernetes, Fleet, etc...
  • Cloud Technologies experience:  AWS (preferred)
  • Various AAA, IDM, and IAM technologies experience
  • General System/Network Administration skills: OS and application patching, installs, application config, web services
  • Exposure to Database technologies: PostGRES, MySQL/MariaDB, MS SQL, HyperSQL, MongoDB, CouchDB, etc…
  • Exposure to Web and Application Services Technologies
  • Exposure to Open Source Software Management and Security Practices
  • Exposure/experience with DevSecOps Processes/Practices/Implementation within a CI/CD environment with exposure to such tools/frameworks as:   Jenkins, Concourse, Gitlab_CI, Git, Ansible, Artifactory, Maven. NPM
