Department Description
Versatile and cross functional Product Manager for the Broadband Communications & Collaboration Solutions portfolio. The portfolio includes PSX Mobile Applications (PTT, Messaging, Mapping), Intelligent Middleware Platform and Wave Push-to-Talk Services used for workforce and team communication / collaboration within the public safety and commercial enterprise segments.  The Intelligent Middleware is a core platform service which powers MSI applications and 3rd party applications.  The Product Manager works closely with other product managers, sales, product marketing deployment and implementation specialists.
Job Description

  • Strong analytical skills required, including an understanding of  how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into epics and business requirements
  • Proven market research and competitive intelligence experience
  • Product planning, software and hardware orderability/fulfillment
  • Very good organizational skills, logical and efficient thinking and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, managers and subject matter experts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure and work independently with minimal direction and guidance from project leads and managers
  • Ability to work and support large and/or concurrent projects
  • Own the creation of order/fulfillment structure for CapEx and OpEx (SaaS) go-to-market models across the portfolio by collaborating with IT business support organizations
  • Implement / manage order structure with existing and future Motorola Solutions tools and platforms
  • Own and manage order support materials: ordering guide, price pages, etc
  • Identify improvements and automate order structure to reduce order/fulfillment issues and improve delivery accuracy
  • Co-ordinate with the field project teams and the deployment teams on new installations, software upgrades and customer trials
  • Collaborate with product managers to understand system and deployment planning for on-premises, hosted and cloud deployment models
  • Support mid to long term business planning process, including monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics
  • Analyze and interpret customer sales and deployment data to make strategic, tactical and operational efficiency recommendations to improve business productivity
  • Complete ongoing competitive and industry analysis
  • Create internal competitive intelligence content and tools to help stakeholders better execute strategy and meet key business metrics and performance indicators
  • Support the implementation of new pricing tools and processes
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of business experience related to Product Management
