Education:                  High School Diploma - 3 + years relevant working experience - Formal technical electronics training or equivalent experience


KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE (MUST HAVE)
1.    Prior experience using communications test equipment such as RF Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzer, Wattmeter, Frequency Meters, Deviation meter, etc.
2.    Basic knowledge of FCC Part 90 regarding permissible frequency error, deviation, power output, etc
3.    Advanced knowledge of cps, programming, and Building templates for both commercial and Public safety radios.
4.    Experience designing and maintaining Mototrbo systems and subscribers
5.      Experience within a team of developmental engineers, systems engineers, system technicians, and field personnel to understand, design, and test complex communications and information systems to meet customer requirements and schedule deadlines

 
Job Description
  • Be an active member within a team of developmental engineers, systems engineers, system technicians, and field personnel to understand, design, and test complex communications and information systems to meet customer requirements and schedule deadlines.
  • Be an active participant and driving force behind the design, implementation, optimization, troubleshooting, testing, and auditing of systems throughout the staging process.
  • Present and demonstrate test plans for fully operational systems to customers. 
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
  • Triage and repair portable and mobile radios.
  • Utilize communication repair tools to accurately diagnose equipment problems and failures.
  • Solder as needed.
  • Complete job tickets and other required work documents.
  • Maintain positive customer relations.
  • Assist with installs as needed
  • The ability to work well with hand tools
