KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE (MUST HAVE)
1.       Responsible for the ownership (architecture/design/implementation) of complex software components and systems
2.      Lead the team during software architecture and design
3.      Coach and mentor the team on software best practices (design, coding, troubleshooting, work breakdown, work estimation, refactor strategies, automated testing, etc.)
4.      Act as the lead engineer for the OnCloud team
5.      5+ years of software development experience
6.      3+ years experience leading software projects from inception to delivery
7.      4+ years experience as tech lead where you were responsible to coach and mentor a team of developers
8.      3+ years experience working in an Agile team including Scrum, Kanban or XP
9.      Able to comprehend an entire system in order to guide decisions relating to entire system
10.  Solid programming skills in multiple languages (.NET, nodejs, C#, Java, Javscript, etc.)
11.  Proven track record being technical lead of software projects from inception to successful release
12.  Strong knowledge in CI/CD systems

Job Description
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations: 
·         Responsible for the ownership (architecture/design/implementation) of complex software components and systems 
·         Lead the team during software architecture and design 
·         Coach and mentor the team on software best practices (design, coding, troubleshooting, work breakdown, work estimation, refactor strategies, automated testing, etc.)
·         Work closely with the Engineering Manager, other team managers and teams
·         Partner with our Product Owner and Engineering Manager to plan work prioritization
·         Act as the lead engineer for the OnCloud team 

Additional duties, including but not limited to:


·         Code reviews
·         Agile practices
·         Estimating work
·         Communicating critical information across teams and acting as a liaison
·         Acting as an individual contributor
·         Delivering code in a timely manner with a proper balance between business needs and development nice-to-haves
·         Helping define:
- Code standards
 - Unit testing
 - Development branching
 - CI/CD
 
Basic Requirements
  •  5+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years experience leading software projects from inception to delivery
  • 4+ years experience as tech lead where you were responsible to coach and mentor a team of developers
  • 3+ years experience working in an Agile team including Scrum, Kanban or XP
  • Able to comprehend an entire system in order to guide decisions relating to entire system
  • Solid programming skills in multiple languages (.NET, nodejs, C#, Java, Javscript, etc.)
  • Solid communication skills
  • Ability to inspire team
  • Expert knowledge of and ability to communicate software architecture and design principles
  • Expert in writing testable software
  • Expert in design patterns which decouple the UI from the business logic

  • Strong knowledge in CI/CD systems
