Summary
Identifying best solutions to meet user's needs, various technologies, implementations, and necessary security controls. Integrate these technologies to provide a complete security solution that meets a given set of security requirements. Apply security requirements to functional elements of the system to develop system security architecture and a system security description.
  • Ensure system security compliance is achieved, maintained, and reported to higher echelon
  • Accurately characterize enterprise risk and help to lead remediation efforts
  • Analyze, interpret, and recommend solutions for system shortfalls, discrepancies, or improvements in technologies and security requirements
  • Supports overall system integration and test
  • Provides support to fielded systems as necessary
  • Supports patch management and vulnerability assessment
  • Participates in and supports penetration testing of the system
  • Contributes to development of enhancing system defensive capabilities
  • Participates in threat vector analysis

     
Essential Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing security controls for systems under design or deployed in operational environments
    • Knowledge of information assurance and security policies, procedures, directives, and frameworks, including DoD 8500 series, NIST SPs, DCID 6/3, DoDAF, and HSPD-12, and how they affect a security solution
  • 5 + years of experience providing engineering analysis, design and support for firewalls, routers, networks and operating systems. 
  • Experience developing System Security Plans (SSPs) and supporting DIACAP or RMF package documentation
  • Experience with leading security design or analysis tasks
  • Experience with system security patching and remediation tools, including WSUS or VMware vCenter Protect
  • Experience supporting with administration/management of INFOSEC, OPSEC OR EMSEC programs is a plus.
·         5 + years of experience working with IP networking, networking protocols and understanding of security related technologies including encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail and access-lists
·         5 + years of experience working with internet, web, application and network security techniques
·         8 + years of experience working with relevant operating system security (Windows, Solaris, Linux, etc.)
·         8 + years of experience working with leading firewall, network scanning and intrusion detection products and authentication technologies
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment technologies and methodologies, including Retina, ACAS, or Nessus
  • Experience with enterprise anti-virus security management suites, including Symantec or McAfee
  • Knowledge of enterprise security monitoring and protection systems, including IDS/IPS, SIEM, or HBSS
  • Subject Matter Expert in the development and integration of a Tactical Key Management distribution design
  • Experience in the development and integration of a Tactical Public Key Infrastructure
  • Experience in development and integration of security products into system architecture
  • Experience developing, integrating, and testing security systems updates
 
 
Essential Education and Certifications
 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAM-II compliant Professional Certification (e.g., CAP, GSLC, CISM, CASP CE, or CISSP) required
